The next major iOS update might not be released until March 2014.
If a latest rumor is to be believed the next major iOS update, iOS 7.1, is going to have a rather lengthy beta period. Apple seeded the first beta of iOS 7.1 back in November and just earlier this month, it seeded iOS 7.1 beta 2 to developers. This is the first major update to be released after iOS 7.0 was released for the public back in September, and it is expected to come with a couple of new features. Previous expectations of a January release have now been contradicted.
Apparently iOS 7.1 beta 3 has already been seeded to select testers, while developers have yet to receive this build. It is too soon to say right now if Apple intends to release this build for developers in the coming days, but it certainly isn’t odd that the company has rolled out iOS 7 beta 3 to certain testers. It is also claimed that iOS 7.1 release is destined for March 2014 even though Apple was originally believed to release it next month.
It has been said that beta 3 of the next major iOS update comes with several important bug fixes and that it also has some new features, though what exactly those features are, remains a mystery right now.
