World records broken at MSI overclocking contest



Ukraine’s T0lsty took top spot in MSI’s Master Overclocking Arena event, beating Indonesia’s Lucky_n00b and Poland’s Xtreme_Addict.





World records were broke this week at MSI’s yearly Master Overclocking Arena (MOA) Grand Finals event.

T0lsty took top spot by beating the competition at “Classic Battle” which involved benchmarks using the well known lineup of SuperPi 32M, Cinebench R11.5 and 3DMark Firestrike on *Intel i7-4770K CPUs, MSI Z87 motherboards, and MSI GTX 780 Lightning video cards.

T0lsty achieved a Firestrike score of 14736, which is an overclock of 48.98 percent over the hardware’s stock speed.

He walked away with $3000 for first place and the hardware he used in the benchmarking.

In the end a number of world records were broken outside of the Classic Battle event:
