Canadian carrier Wind Mobile launches its pre-registration page for the Nexus 5 before its official announcement, and LG Canada is said to have socked an inventory of 30,000 Nexus 5 units.
The leaks are coming in thick and fast now. After yesterday’s reveal by @evleaks which mentions a November 1 launch date for the Nexus 5, we now have images from Canadian carrier Wind Mobile’s pre-registration page for the Nexus 5 on Facebook.
The page lists the hardware for the device, and it confirms what has been leaked before. 4.95-inch full-HD screen, a higher-binned version of the Snapdragon 800 (2.3 GHz Krait 400 and 550 MHz Adreno 330), 2 GB RAM, 8 MP camera with OIS and a front 1.3 MP shooter along with storage variations of 16 and 32 GB. Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi ac are also included, and the Nexus 5 weighs in at 130 gms and has dimensions of 69.17 x 137.84 x 8.59 mm. It will also be the first device to come with Android 4.4 KitKat.
Wind Mobile also mentions that LG has decided to use ceramic for the Nexus 5’s power and volume buttons, but unlike the LG G2, they will be located at the side of the device instead of the back.
Another image that was leaked originally on NeoGAF earlier today shows LG’s inventory of the Nexus 5 at one of its Canadian storage units. The Nexus 4 was notorious for its unavailability, and it looks like this time around LG is ensuring that the Nexus 5 does not run out of stock hours after it is announced.
