Lenovo’s new tablet offerings feature a great design and come with decent internal hardware. These tablets will be available later this week.
Lenovo’s 8-inch and 10-inch Yoga tablets feature a similar design, and the most prominent feature on the tablets is the round bulge on the sides. This bulge hides the kickstand, which has been designed to make it easier to view the screen in different use cases.

Hold mode is when the side cylinder is retracted, which makes it easier for users to read and hold the tablet comfortably in one hand. In stand mode, the kickstand comes out and the tablet can be placed on any surface. Unlike the Surface 2, which has a kickstand that only has two positions, the kickstand on the Lenovo tablet works at any angle. Tilt mode allows the tablets to lay flat on a surface, which makes it easier to interact with the screen using both hands.
The 8-inch and 10-inch Lenovo Yoga tablets feature screens that come with a resolution of 1280 x 800. The 8-inch model has a 6,000 mAh battery while the 10-inch version has a 9,000 mAh battery. Lenovo has said the 8-inch model able to give 16 hours of battery life and the 10-inch model 18 hours on a single charge.
Other than that, both tablets feature similar internal hardware. They feature MediaTek’s MT8125 SoC, which has a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. Other hardware features include 1 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM with a micro-SD card slot, 5MP camera at the back and a 1.6MP camera at the front, Wi-Fi 802.11bgn and Bluetooth 4.0. The tablets also feature dual stereo speakers, and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
The 8-inch Lenovo Yoga will be available from October 30 for $249, while the 10-inch version will set users back $299. Lenovo has hired the services of Ashton Kutcher for brand evangelism and you can watch the video starring Kutcher here:
