Though the Oppo N1, due out on December 10, is pretty innovative and visually striking, the true heir to Find 5’s throne and the top spot on the OEM’s totem pole has long been rumored to come after the N1 and get branded as the Find 7.
Why Find 7 and not Find 6? No idea, but brush away those worries, as there’s absolutely no chance the future flagship will sport an impossible to handle 7-inch panel.
Instead, some sources claim to have found out on the down low the Find 7 will rock a 5.7-inch screen with, get this, 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution.
What other devices come with a similarly mind-blowing pixel count? None at the moment, but the status quo is bound to change, as the Vivo Xplay 3S, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2 “Avatar” all loom on the horizon with what’s conventionally shortened as 2K res.
Awesome start to Find 7’s list of features and, from there on out, things only get… better. How is that even possible? Simple, thanks to a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU that may not find its way inside the GS5, 3 whopping gigs of RAM, a 13 MP rear-facing snapper, 5 MP secondary camera and, best of all, 4G LTE speeds.
Granted, that last part is common on the Western hemisphere even for mid-range slabs of silicon, but the Find 7 should primarily target China, where the connectivity standard is still in an inception phase.
On the software side of things, our insider today has no scoop whatsoever, yet it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to forecast any and all Oppo handhelds going forward will offer Android-powered CyanogenMod support.
Now, I hate being the party pooper, but I can’t stress enough how carefully you should view this “intel”. There’s no conclusive evidence supporting its credibility, other than a pic published by Oppo on Weibo that seems to confirm the 4G LTE part of the report.
