Nokia Lumia 929 for Verizon revealed in leak

Nokia’s Lumia 929 is a high-end Windows Phone mobile that will be available exclusively on Verizon.

Nokia unveiled a total of six devices at its Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi a fortnight ago, but one of the devices that was not mentioned at the event is the Lumia 929, which is a high-end device that is exclusive to Verizon.

While there have been scant details on the device thus far, a leak on Windows Phone Central revealed the clearest images yet of the Lumia 929, as well as giving us a look at the hardware the device will be toting.

The Lumia 929 features a 5-inch full-HD AMOLED screen, a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory without a micro-SD card slot, 20 MP PureView camera that contains dual LED flash, NFC, FM Radio, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE. The device will work with any wireless charger based on the Qi standard, and will include Verizon-exclusive software along with Nokia’s suite of navigation and music related utilities.

Leaked screenshots of the Lumia 929 indicate that the device will run Windows Phone Update 3 out of the box, and will feature Nokia’s Lumia Black firmware. Verizon is said to unveil the device sometime around Thanksgiving, with availability slated for the holiday season.
