Nest Thermostat is now available in the Play Store

The Nest Thermostat is available in the Play Store for $249.

Google has started selling Nest Thermostats in the Play Store.

The Nest Thermostat is an intelligent thermostat that works with existing HVAC systems in effectively managing temperature throughout the house. The thermostat features a minimalistic interface that allows you to adjust the temperature by turning a circular ring on the device. Nest’s thermostat is designed by Tony Fadell, the designer behind the iPod and the first three generations of the iPhone.

In addition to a great design and the ability to conserve energy, the Nest Thermostat features an array of sensors that detects your presence to change settings automatically. It also comes with an auto-away mode that minimizes energy usage when it detects that you’ve left the premises. The thermostat connects via Wi-Fi and can be monitored from a remote location.

Google acquired Nest for $3.2 billion earlier this year, and is now selling the Nest Thermostat on the Play Store for $249. The device is also available in the UK for $300. The Play Store listing mentions that the device is in stock and will ship in one to two business days.
