The HTC M8 might be set for a launch in March, and will likely be the first HTC device to feature on-screen navigation buttons.
Serial leakster @evleaks announced on Twitter today that the successor to the HTC One might launch as early as March. The venue for the announcement has been mentioned by @evleaks as New York City, which is quickly becoming a destination for high-end handset launches.
Another leak indicated that the HTC M8 will be the first HTC device to feature on-screen buttons in lieu of hardware buttons. From the image above, it looks like the design of the buttons will be similar to those on the HTC One, but this time around, they would be on-screen.
@evleaks also tweeted that HTC is working on a mini version of the HTC M8, and that this version would likely debut a few months after the M8. XDA mod Shen Ye further claims that HTC is going the Desire route with the M8 and will launch four color variants of the device.
As far as the hardware details are concerned, it looks like the HTC M8, aka HTC One 2, will feature a 5-inch full-HD screen and Snapdragon 800. It will also feature Android 4.4 KitKat along with the latest Sense 6 UI.
