LG launching the G3 globally starting June 27th

The LG G3 will end its South Korean exclusivity and start making its way to markets outside LG’s home country*by the end of June.

LG has announced that*sales of its newest flagship, the LG G3, will commence outside of its home market of South Korea starting June 27th.

The 5.5-inch QHD device will first make its way to*Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines, followed by the rest of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East starting in July. The European and Asian variants will also feature wireless charging out of the box – it will probably be present on the US variants as well, but neither LG nor North American carriers are spilling the beans on when the G3 will be headed stateside. However, that’s not a surprise considering the G3′s official announcement came less than a month ago, and carriers in the US are likely busy with making the usual modifications*they make to a device before putting it up for sale.

The LG G3 features a 5.5-inch True IPS+ LCD display of 2560×1440 resolution, a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage and a microSD slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and laser-powered autofocus, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1 Watt loudspeaker on the back, the usual bevy of connectivity options including NFC, a 3,000 mAh battery, and the latest version of LG’s Optimus UI atop Android 4.4 KitKat.
