Walmart iPhone prices expected to be slashed as part of a holiday sale

The retailer is expected to offer substantial discounts on the prices of Apple’s latest iPhones, with conventional two year service contracts

.

Just recently it was announced that Walmart will now begin selling off contract iPhones. Customers can purchase the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S from the retailer for exactly the same prices that Apple offers its GSM compatible unlocked iPhones through its online stores.*The new holiday sale, which is expected to kick off on Friday, will offer some of the lowest prices on the new iPhones, which would no doubt be an added incentive for customers looking to pick up a new iPhone ahead of the holidays.

The base model iPhone 5C usually retails for $99 with a two year contract, and the iPhone 5C comes in at $199. Walmart is going to offer the former for just $27 on contract, whereas the iPhone 5S price will be dropped down to $127. Customers will have to choose a two year contract from either AT&T or Verizon.*The retailer will also offer discounts on other Apple products. While the 16GB iPad mini will be sold for the usual $299 price, Walmart will offer a $50 gift card. It will also be selling the $30 iTunes gift card for $25.

Walmart’s promotion is likely to be kicked off at 8 a.m. tomorrow, it is going to run through December 24 or until stocks last.
