Corsair’s latest case offers high airflow in an ATX form factor, and is available for $149.

The Carbide Series Air 540 ATX case is not as conventional as other mid-tower cases as it is about twice as wide as other enclosures.

That being said, the design of the Carbide Series Air 540 features a dual-chambered layout that allows in more airflow inside the chassis. *The main chamber houses the motherboard, video card and the two hard-drive sleds on the floor while the second chamber is where users can install the power supply and 2.5-inch discs.

One of the standouts in this case is the toolless power supply installation, and the clever cable management that has been done to minimize clutter in the primary chamber. The Carbide Series Air 540 enclosure can fit in Mini ITX, Micro ATX, ATX, Extended ATX motherboards, and comes with eight expansion slots that can accommodate video cards that are 320 mm in length. The case comes with two LED AF140L front fans.

The high airflow design allows users to install a total of six 120mm fans, or five 140mm fans. There are also mounting points for installing a 360/280/240mm radiator at the front and another 280mm/240mm one at the top.

You get a total of eight HDD slots, with two 5.25-inch slots, two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch slots. The front panel on the right has two USB 3.0 and audio connectors. The mesh that runs on the front of the chassis is held by thumbscrews, and can be easily removed for effective cleaning when required.

The Carbide Series Air 540 is available in White and Silver variants, and costs $149. The enclosure is backed by a two-year Corsair warranty.
