Images reveal what could be the front panels for Sony’s next Android flagship and its mini variant.
A couple of images have leaked online, allegedly showing the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact next to each other.
The images come from a source that has proved accurate with Sony leaks in the past, though the pictures seem to be of the front panel of each device*rather than the device itself. Many would argue that it is too early for leaks about the Xperia Z3 (and its compact sibling) to be taken seriously, but given Sony’s recent tradition of launching two flagships each year, the leaked images*could very well be the real deal.
The pictures indicate that Sony will not be deviating from its OmniBalance design philosophy, which results in visually appealing handsets but has been a nightmare in ergonomics, thanks to the blocky edges and slippery glass backs. However, things might not be as bad on the next-generation Xperia Z flagships, if the thinner bezels in the pictures are actually a part of the final design.
Naturally, not much is known about either handset at this point, but the leaks and rumors should intensify as the weeks go by. It’s best to keep that salt shaker handy, however, as nothing is official unless it comes from the horse’s mouth.
