Here’s an up-close and intimate look at Nvidia’s GM210 on a mystery card

Leaks from China show what very well may be Nvidia’s GTX 880 flagship.

Earlier this week, the Chinese blog MyDrivers got its hands on what appears to be an early production model of a GTX 880. It’s certainly not confirmed that this is the GTX 880, but considering that the GM 210 core is onboard it’s very likely that it is.

Looking at the GPU on the card, one can see that it was manufactured at a Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) fab between May 19-25 (the twenty-first week of the year). With the naked eye, it’s not possible to determine what process node the GPU was manufactured with.

The card’s VRAM uses eight of SK Hynix’s model H5GQ4H24MFR chips, so if each chip is 4 GB that means the card will ship with possibly 16 GB of RAM.

As far as power goes, there is one eight-pin and two six-pin connectors which means the card will likely have a TDP of 375 W.

The big question is: why is a good portion of the card blurred out? What’s being hidden?
