Lenovo launches the LTE-enabled Vibe Z along with three other models

Lenovo is late to the LTE bandwagon, but is making up for last time with the Vibe Z.

The Vibe Z launched in China last November, and is now available for a wider audience.

The device is Lenovo’s first LTE-enabled handset, and features a metallic design. The dual-SIM device comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with a quad-core 2.2 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 13 MP camera with a 5 MP front shooter and Wi-Fi ac connectivity. The device comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and features Lenovo’s custom UI skin. A new feature that Lenovo is offering is a redesigned camera utility that brings a lot of additions.

Lenovo is selling the Vibe Z unlocked for $549, and while the device in itself has great hardware, we doubt if it would be able to gain any traction with international buyers, considering that devices like the Nexus 5 offer the same hardware for much less. The camera on the Vibe Z is better than that of the Nexus 5, but if you’re looking for a better camera and battery life, there is always the LG G2.

Along with the Vibe Z, Lenovo announce three other handsets. The A859 is a 5-inch device that has a 720p screen, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 1.3GHz MediaTek 6582 CPU, an 8MP camera and comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The S930 has the same internal hardware, but comes with a larger 6-inch screen. The Lenovo A859 costs $219, while the Lenovo S930 is retailing for $319.

The last device is the S650, and it comes with a 4.7-inch qHD screen with other internal hardware being the same as the Lenovo A859. All devices are available in countries where Lenovo has a presence, but it is clear that the manufacturer is targeting Asian markets with these devices considering their dual-SIM nature and lack of LTE.
