Yahoo Weather iPad app released, comes with the highly appreciated design



The much appreciated and award winning design of the Yahoo Weather app has been ported over to Apple’s tablets.





Most iPhone users won’t feel the need to use a third party weather application, given the fact that Apple already includes a native weather app in iOS. Nevertheless, a plethora of such apps are readily available for download through the App Store. Out of all the contenders, one has stood out and has received ample praise for its design. The Yahoo Weather app was initially released for the iPhone and iPod touch only, it earned an Apple Design Award at the World Wide Developer Conference earlier this year.

The Yahoo Weather iPad app has finally been released. Owners of Apple’s popular tablet are likely to rejoice, considering the fact that no native weather application is baked into the tablet. Users have to rely solely on third party apps, and out of all the apps available for the tablet, Yahoo Weather is quite likely to catch most users’ eyes due to its striking design.*Its actually quite similar to its iPhone counterpart, which subtle refinements being made to tweak it up to iPad’s screen real estate. Location images are pulled from Flickr, which definitely are a sight worth seeing.

The Yahoo Weather app for iOS, which now natively supports both the iPhone and iPad, is available as a free download from the App Store.
