The LG GX is the successor to the Optimus G Pro, and comes with software elements that were seen on the LG G2.
The LG GX joins the long list of large-screened devices that have been launched by international vendors this year. The GX comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD screen along with Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 600, with no word on how high the cores will be clocked. Other details include a 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory without any micro-SD card slot, 13MP camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera and a 3,140 mAh battery.
The device boots Android Jelly Bean on LG’s custom UI skins, although LG hasn’t mentioned what version of Jelly Bean the GX is running. The device comes with LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and micro-USB connectivity, and will be available in black and white. The GX also features LG-exclusive software utilities like KnockON, QRemote, QSlide and QuickMemo.
LG hasn’t announced international availability for the LG GX yet, and for now at least, the device is exclusive to South Korea.
