The Asus M70 comes with an NFC receiver that allows for one-touch connectivity with a smartphone.
Asus has launched its first NFC enabled desktop, the M70.
Through NFC, users will be able to log into to the machine, launch applications, and also back up photos with a single tap by using Asus’ exclusive software. Also available is the ability to charge mobile devices wirelessly through the wireless charger tray that is included on the machine. Users will be able to charge their mobile devices even when the M70 is shut down, and all devices that conform to the Qi wireless charging standard will work.

Featuring a brushed metal enclosure, the M70 comes with Intel’s 4th generation Haswell Core i7-4770S processor. In addition, users can also add a discrete video card like the Nvidia GeForce GT 625, which comes with 2 GB DDR3 video memory.
The M70 comes with 8 GB dual-channel DDR3 RAM at 1600 MHz, and has a 1 TB mechanical hard drive (SATA 6Gbit/s). There is a slot-in DVD-RW drive, and users have the ability to adding their own hard drives as the M70 comes with one 5.25-inch and two 3.5-inch drive bays. There is also one mini PCI-e slot, one PCI-e x 1 slot and a PCI-e x 16 slot.
In terms of connectivity, you get two SATA 3.0Gbit/s, two SATA 6.0Gbit/s, six USB 2.0 ports, two USBN 3.0 ports, HDMI-Out, DVI-D and VGA D-sub connectors and a gigabit Ethernet card. There is also a 16-in-1 card reader.
The M70 also features SonicMaster Technology, which has been created in collaboration with Waves Audio. Waves are well-known in the world of music creation for their VST tools, and their MaxxAudio suite of tools enables users to listen to more immersive sound on the M70. Users can customize the audio environment for different scenarios, like gaming, movies, music and voice recording.
Asus has said that the M70 will be available shortly, and that it will cost $1,040 (without the monitor).
