If a new report is to be believed Apple has penciled in September 9th as the launch date for its next generation iPhones which are no doubt one of the most hotly anticipated devices this year.
The reason why*there’s so much hype regarding the new iPhones is because Apple is expected to make some of the biggest changes this time around. Ever since the iPhone came out back in 2007 it has stuck with relatively modest display sizes whereas its rivals have breached the 6-inch barrier. Most Android devices now have displays over 5-inches. Apple’s fanbase has been*increasingly calling for bigger displays and this time around it looks like the company may finally oblige.
John Paczkowski over at Re/code reports that Apple is going to announce the iPhone 6 on September 9th. This launch date fits in perfectly with Apple’s previous events in September and many of us already expected this month to be the chosen one. The focus will undoubtedly be on the two iPhones Apple is due to unveil, one with a 4.7-inch display and the other*touting a massive 5.5-inch display.
However it goes without saying that there’s still no official confirmation from Apple and we can’t be really sure until it rolls out invites. That might happen in the first week of next month if September 9th is really the day the iPhone 6 gets announced, so we’ll have to wait*for a little bit longer now.
