Oppo Find 7 will feature a QHD 2K display

Oppo took to Twitter today to confirm that its next handset, the Find 7, will come with a QHD screen.

Just as the benchmark for this year in terms of screen resolution was full-HD, it looks like next year’s goal for manufacturers is QHD (2560x1440p). Chinese manufacturer Oppo confirmed on Twitter that the Find 7 handset will feature a QHD screen. The Chinese vendor’s Find 5 was one of the first devices to feature a full-HD screen, so when it comes to including the best display technology in its handsets, Oppo is ahead of the pack.

Oppo is also known for following a consumer-driven mentality, and posts custom ROMs for its devices regularly. It is also one of the first manufacturers to officially offer the CyanogenMod ROM. Other details regarding the Find 7 are not known at this stage, but the latest rumors suggest that the device will come with Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3 GB RAM and a new imaging sensor along with a 4,000 mAh battery.

The Find 7 should be making its official debut sometime in the next quarter, although there is no confirmation of an official launch date yet.

In other news, former Oppo VP Pete Lau also announced his latest venture today, called OnePlus, with which he is trying to create the perfect*smartphone.
