All MSI Intel 8 series motherboards will support next-generation Haswell processors

Any MSI Intel 8 series motherboard can be used with Intel’s refreshed Haswell line that is set to debut in the second quarter of 2014.

Intel is set for a Haswell refresh in the early second quarter, followed by the launch of a new Series 9 chipset. The Haswell refresh is targeted at the desktop line, with over 20 different SKUs set to be introduced. The new CPUs will be higher clocked to anywhere between 100 to 200 MHz based on the processor. The new CPUs will augment models already available. Here’s a full list of the new SKUs:

MSI has announced that all of its existing 8 series motherboards will support new models in the Haswell line. MSI has over 20 motherboards that cater to gamers, overclocking enthusiasts and multimedia users.

MSI’s motherboards in the gaming line feature a distinct black and red design along with a dragon motif. These boards come with exclusive MSI technologies like Audio Boost that features PSB shielding for on-board audio components to deliver better sound. These boards feature a Killer Gigabit Ethernet card as standard.

The overclocking line has a yellow on black design. All boards catered to overclocking enthusiasts are tested under rigorous conditions at MSI’s test labs. The boards that pass these tests are OC Certified, which meant that they can withstand the most strenuous conditions. An MSI overclocking board was used in setting the world record for CPU frequency, which was at 7.14GHz. In addition, MSI motherboards feature Military Class 4 components that boost longevity of the board and ensure stability even when used in harsh working conditions.

These are all the motherboards MSI is currently offering for the Intel 8 series line:
